Hi guys and happy February!
I have missed sharing more lifestyle blog posts around here, so I figured I’d bring some of that back to CNC via monthly recaps. I’ve enjoyed sharing what my family and I have been up to over the years, and it’s definitely a part of my work that I miss. It’s been so fun to have a ” photo diary” to look back on memories – whether it’s big life moments or simple weekends cuddling up at home. Without further adieu, here are a few snapshots from January 2021 – enjoy!
Gosh, I just love this squishy pug of ours. He loves to crush ALL pillows! Clearly, being cozy and comfortable is Murphy’s speciality. The old man is 11.5 years old now.
The New Year didn’t start out so great for me since I was huge ulcerative colitis flare. Murphy never left my side, and I was curled up on couch in pain for a few days. He really is the best therapy dog!
Apparently, Murphy thinks Rubik’s cubes are a bit of bore, but Quinn is getting quite quick with them!
We had an ice cream sandwich making contest in our house (Quinn’s idea!). It was a ton of fun, but, man, it was a tough decision for Quinn to pick the winner!
Both Mumma and Dada’s entries were delicious, but ultimately Mal’s sandwich won! Mal had a leg up with gluten-filled cookies and Hornstra ice cream. My cookie sandwich was 95% AIP-friendly, made with gluten-free cookies and coconut ice cream from Daily Harvest.
F is for Fridays and funny white board messages in our house!
This morning, both Quinn and Murphy stayed warm on our morning walk to the bus stop. Murphy remember his hooded sweatshirt, but forgot his mask!
The big news in our house this month: Quinn lost his first tooth! It fell out when he was brushing his teeth, and we lost in down the drain. Don’t worry – the tooth fairy still came!
What was a highlight or favorite moment from your January?
