My experience with carb cycling

If it’s not sustainable, it’s not attainable.

There are so many different weight loss and healthy living approaches out there. And every expert, coach, and fit-fluencer has their favorite.

They’ll likely tell you that their way is the ‘best’ way to get to your results and they can prove it because that’s how they got their results or it’s how they’ve coached their own clients to success.

You know the best way to get results?

The way that’s sustainable for you.

Not me, not her, not him. YOU.

I’ll give you an example: Carb Cycling.

A super popular way to help clients lose weight, many coaches incorporate carb cycling into their nutrition protocol. I’ve even used it with my own clients.

However, for me personally, carb cycling, the way it’s traditionally set up, doesn’t work.

I tried it and it was such a pain in the ass.

Planning my day, calculating my needs, and then having a last-minute change of plans and not doing my workout? The worst! I was always struggling to figure out how and when to cycle.

Now, I just eat starchier carbs in the meals before and after my workouts (typically 3x’s week) and that’s it. No calculating, planning, or stressing.

It’s a simplified version of carb cycling that is sustainable for me because it allows me to incorporate it into my lifestyle more easily. This makes the results stick because I’m able to be consistent.

If you’re following some diet or exercise advice that you’re fighting tooth and nail to maintain, chances are you won’t be able to keep it up more than a few weeks or months at best.

Finding a sustainable system that works for you is the best way to attain the results you want!
