Read that one again.
I’ll be blunt. Most women have it all wrong. They’re trying to lose weight so they can ‘get healthy’. Perhaps they remember a time in their 20’s when they weighed 115 pounds and felt happier and more energized than they do now at 35 and 135 pounds.
They equate their happiness and health with their weight.
But what if I told you it’s the other way around?
What if I told you the reason you’ve gained weight, and the reason you’re struggling so hard to lose that weight, is because you’re not healthy right now and that you also have the power to fix it?
I’ll tell you this, you can and should get healthy, right now, so that you can lose weight… if that’s what you want.
If you’re overly stressed, have a hormonal imbalance, or other underlying bodily dysfunction (i.e. thyroid, gut), losing weight is going to be hard and you’ll need to get healthy first, before the weight loss can even begin.
Address the cause, not the outcome.
Get healthy and take all of that stress off your body, then you’ll lose weight.
So, tell me, do you think your overall health is affecting your ability to lose fat and change your body composition?
