Should you reuse old macro numbers?

Should you reuse old macro numbers? This question is not necessarily straightforward, but the short answer is no. Read on!

You lost 10 pounds and gained back 15.

Maybe that diet really didn’t work…and maybe you shouldn’t try it again!

Have you ever done a diet that worked really, really well? One that helped you drop the weight in a record amount of time? (Maybe it was macro numbers so low they essentially starved your body?)

It can be tempting to try it again. Especially if you’ve gained weight (again) and gone on to try other things that just don’t work.

But take a sec and think about it.

If you lost weight on this diet, but fast forward 6 months, a year, two years, you’re trying to lose weight again, likely that EXACT SAME WEIGHT, maybe the diet didn’t actually work.

Because the way I look at it, a good diet not only helps you lose weight, but also helps you keep it off. Meaning, you shouldn’t have to try that diet again in a few months.

Most diets don’t work. They’re typically too low-calorie, overly restrictive, and they honestly do more harm than good.

This is why I don’t diet and why my team and I don’t let our clients diet either. The CNC Lifestyle is all about safe, sustainable fat loss that’s planned out ahead of time, so it works in both the short- and long-term.

Have you ever returned to a diet or old macro numbers hoping they would work again? Did it work the second time around?
