The point of diminishing returns

Does more exercise automatically equals better results?

Nope, not true.

I learned this the hard way.

Just last week, I recorded a podcast episode about and how it affected my hormones, thyroid, and weight loss efforts. Well, *technically*, I GAINED weight by doing too much high-intensity exercise during a really stressful time in my life. .

In a separate episode, I talk about (as well as what I’m doing with my nutrition). Cliff’s notes: I’ve cut my exercise time down dramatically with better results to show for it! Oh yea, I’m also eating a lot of beans. .

Your body doesn’t keep responding to increased exercise forever and forever, so it’s definitely possible to reach a point of diminishing returns. The key is not hours and hours of exercise and how many calories burned, but instead focusing on intensity mixed with proper recovery and nutrition.

Trust me, you don’t need to spend an hour (or more) every single day exercising to get great results, especially if you’re using the right workout and nutrition combo.
